Every English parish must have an annual
meeting which must be held each year between 1st March and 1 June
and not begin before 6 pm (Local Government Act 1972, s9(1)). In Lytchett Minster and Upton this has
historically been referred to as the Annual Assembly.
The Annual Town Meeting is not a council meeting; it is a meeting of the town electors. Local organisations who have benefited from council grants are invited to provide a report on their activities and all electors are entitled to attend and ask questions or raise issues.
The next Annual Assembly is taking place on Wednesday 30th April 2025, from 7pm at St Dunstan's Church, Poole Road, Upton, Dorset. The agenda and minutes are below:
