The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge that local authorities can set on new developments in order to raise funds to help fund the infrastructure, facilities and services - such as schools or transport improvements - needed to support new homes and businesses.
Parish and town town councils receive 15% of CIL receipts that arise from developments in the town/parish. In Lytchett Minster & Upton, this is paid by Dorset Council. For more information on Dorset Council's CIL policy, visit the Dorset Council website.
