Police Drop Ins (2026)
Published: 07 July 2026
Following a spike in crime, we heard how concerned residents were about the lack of police presence in the local area. This is a concern that we share, and one that we take very seriously: in the intervening months we’ve been speaking with Dorset Police, as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset, to help get more resources directed to Upton and Lytchett Minster.
Therefore, we have been allocated three “Police Community Contact Points” across the next few months, each taking place at our offices (1 Moorland Parade, Upton, Dorset, BH16 5JS) from 11am - 12 noon on:
THURSDAY 23RD JULY
THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST
THURSDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER
These are drop-in sessions that anyone can attend to ask questions, raise concerns, and keep up-to-date with the latest measures in crime prevention.
It’s a small step in the right direction and, on behalf of local citizens, we will continue to advocate that a holistic, supportive, and comprehensive police presence is required to help keep us all safe in Lytchett Minster and Upton.
