Annual Assembly

The ANNUAL TOWN ASSEMBLY will be held on THURSDAY 25 MAY 2023 at St Dunstan’s Church, Poole Road, Upton commencing at 7.00 pm.

Electors in Lytchett Minster and Upton are hereby invited by the Town Mayor, Cllr R Griffin to attend an annual meeting of electors.

Every English parish must have an annual meeting which must be held each year between 1st March and 1 June and not begin before 6 pm (Local Government Act 1972, s9(1)). In Lytchett Minster and Upton this has historically been referred to as the Annual Assembly.

Members are reminded that the Council has a general duty to consider the following matters in the exercise of its functions: Equal Opportunities (race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, belief or disability), Crime and Disorder, Health and Safety and Human Rights. Disabled access is available.

All in attendance should be aware that filming, recording, photography or otherwise may occur during the meeting.
